Patricia A. Stone’s first collection of stories, Close Calls, was published
in 1991 (Cormorant Books). Her
second collection, Through Any Window, appeared in 1996 (NuAge/Signature
Editions). All Things Considered, a collection of inter-connected
short stories, was published in 2008 (Hidden Brook Press). She has published stories in literary journals for many years.
As well, she has won the Cross-Canada Writer’s Magazine short
fiction award, and her work has been included in McClelland and
Stewart’s Journey Prize Anthology and
Thirty‑Two Degrees, an
anthology of fiction by Concordia University M.A. graduates in Creative
born and raised in Oshawa, Ontario, and has lived in Toronto, London ON,
Vancouver, Montreal, and currently Peterborough.
She holds an M.A. in English Literature and an M.A. in Creative
Writing, and, for 30 years taught Creative Writing, Canadian Literature
and Communications at a community college.
